Ok. So I'm a little obsessive. There are two confirmed cases of swine flu at my grandchild's school. Not my teenager, my grandchild, who lives next door. Anyway with the $2.00 tylenol coupons, I bought six boxes of 24 count rapid release tylenol at Walgreens this week... Anyway... :)

My friend is getting a new air system

My friend is getting a new air system. Hers went kaput in the apartment attached to her house. My friend is very careful with her money.

She decided to shop around (calling). Most of the bids she got were in the $6000+ range. In the process of shopping around one of the places told her about a possible rebate on her taxes. Well it really turns out to be so much taken off her pre tax income. Anyway the important part is that not all the companies told her about it. She would not have known if she didn’t shop around.

She told a couple of companies that she wanted specific brands because of the rebate. They were trying to sell less expensive brands but with the rebate she figures it will come out to roughly the same amount.

Well finally she found one place that knew about the ‘rebate’ and which brands of air systems would qualify. Their price was $5100. They have also been in business for a lot of years. Basically she easily saved a $1000 with a little effort and research, as well as is getting a better quality system!
